Fatjon Humaj was born in 2000 and lives in Freiburg.
From an early age, he developed an interest in photography and moving images. Already during his school years, he began editing and cutting his first videos on his phone. Over time, he filmed and edited more and more, steadily deepening his interest. There was no single defining moment that led him to it—it was something that had always been part of him.
After graduating from high school, he began to engage more intensively with the entire process of film production, teaching himself many aspects along the way. At the same time, he studied Communication Design in Freiburg, specializing in photography and film. As part of his bachelor’s degree, he independently produced a short film from start to finish. This project was particularly important to him, as it allowed him to work in depth on all stages—from the initial idea to the finished film.
A further step was his internship semester at the Freiburg-based production company B2W filmworks. There, he gained practical experience and further developed his skills in editing, camera work, sound, and concept development. Since then, he has been employed there full-time and continues to grow through his day-to-day work.
Alongside his work at B2W, he has realized two of his own short films and regularly collaborates with other directors, particularly in the areas of editing, color grading, and cinematography. Another important focus of his work is in the field of music and concert content. In this context, he produces photos, videos, and social media content for artists such as Kasi, Antonius, Vince, and Proberaum.
In terms of content, he is particularly interested in music videos and documentary formats, as they offer a great deal of creative freedom and allow him to realize his own visual ideas. Through his work in different fields, he sees himself as an all-rounder who can connect various aspects of film production.
In the long term, he aims to continue developing within the film industry and to further expand his skills. He is also open to exploring new roles and areas of responsibility.
